SUPPORTING THE GROUPS WHO SUPPORT VETERAN’S – 12/2015- We recently sent 50 of our Sunset Bugler Cards to the wonderful VFW of Hubbard, Ohio Free of Charge! They are so diligent in recognizing the families of veterans who pass away in their community! I am so proud to work with such a great group of men and women.
Thank A Vet:
Our most recent event was held at our local Rite Aid store. We asked the community for either cash donation or specific items listed as needed for the Veteran’s living at the Washington Veteran’s Home in Retsil Washington. The people who donated cash or supplies were able to select from the Thank You cards our company donated and write a special note of thanks to the Veterans which were delivered by us for Veteran’s Day 2011. Some of the items received were razors, toothbrushes, candies, Christmas wrapping paper, batteries, long distance calling cards and laundry soap.
Valentines For Injured Soldiers:
Our Second Anniversary of Valentine’s for Injured Soldiers was held February 7th, 2008. We Partnered with our local Starbucks and Childcare center and invited the community to make handmade “Get Well” and “Thank You” Valentine’s for our injured soldiers recovering at Brooke Army Medical Center. It was a blast for all of us. Mike Reagan, the portrait artist and founder of Fallen Heroes Foundation was with us. Once again Mike Reagan was the recipient of Starbucks Corporate giving program known as “Make Your Mark”. He received the maximum amount of $1,000.00.
Gold Star Mom Project:
Recently we completed a community supported project to purchase beautiful heart bracelets for Gold Star Moms in our State. The Program worked with both The Red White & Blue Card Co. and a Rep from Premiere Jewelry Co. which is a home show jewelry company. During the event we managed to receive 44 bracelets for some of our Gold Star Moms. Some may ask who a Gold Star Mom is, they are mom’s who have suffered the loss of a child due to war. It is our commitment to help keep the sacrifice of our military community in the consciousness of our greater community. “Giving Honor Where Honor Is Due.
With each purchase of our greeting cards, you are assisting us as we sponsor worthwhile events. Thank you for your support!
